Alloy wheels for the Ford Ranger

Every Spartan design is listed for the Ford Ranger. Whether you run a T6 workhorse or the latest 2022-on model, there’s a Spartan in 17″, 20″ or 22″ to suit the Ranger’s 6×139.7 stud pattern.

The Ranger is one of the most popular pickups in the UK, and the same few questions come up every time someone upgrades its wheels. Here are the answers.

What you need to know before you fit

Stud pattern and centre bore. Every Ranger from 1999 onwards uses a 6×139.7 stud pattern with a 93.1mm hub. Our drilled Spartans have a 106.1mm centre bore, so the 106.1→93.1mm rings that centre the wheel on the hub come in the fitting kit with every set — there is nothing extra to buy. The SW1 and SW3 multi-fit blanks are drilled to 6×139.7 and bored to 93.1mm to order, so they sit directly on the hub.

Offset. A factory Ranger wheel has a high offset (around ET55), which tucks the wheel well inside the arch. Spartans run ET10 to ET20, so they sit further out for a wider, more planted stance. On most Rangers that means the tyre comes closer to the arch edge, and a lot of owners fit arch extensions. Your dealer will check this for your exact truck and suspension.

Load rating. Every Spartan size lists its load rating per wheel, from 950kg to 1,250kg. To check yours, find the heavier axle weight on your Ranger’s VIN plate and halve it. The wheel’s rating needs to be at least that figure. If you tow or carry heavy loads, ask your dealer which size gives you the most headroom.

Tyres. Going up to 20″ or 22″ means a lower-profile tyre, so the overall rolling diameter stays close to standard. That keeps your speedometer accurate and your gearing unchanged. Your dealer will match a tyre size and load index to the wheel and to how you use the truck.

Frequently asked questions

Will 20 inch wheels fit a Ford Ranger?

Yes. 20″ wheels are a popular upgrade on the T6 (2011–2022) and the 2022-on Ranger. Pair them with a lower-profile tyre so the overall diameter stays close to standard, and check the offset suits your truck.

Do I need to buy anything else to fit them?

No. Every set comes with a fitting kit of wheel nuts and, where the vehicle needs them, spigot rings — for the drilled Spartans on a Ranger that means 106.1→93.1mm rings. The SW1 and SW3 blanks are bored to the Ranger’s 93.1mm hub to order, so they sit straight on the hub. Locking nuts and bolts are not included.

What stud pattern (PCD) is a Ford Ranger?

6×139.7 (six studs on a 139.7mm circle) for every Ranger from 1999 onwards, with a 93.1mm centre bore.

Will Spartan wheels fit the 2022-on Ranger and the Raptor?

The 2022-on (P703) Ranger, Raptor included, uses the same 6×139.7 pattern and 93.1mm hub, and it’s listed for every Spartan design. On the Raptor, check brake clearance and tyre size with your dealer before you order.
