This policy explains what happens to your information when you use spartanwheels.co.uk. Spartan Wheels is a brand of Autopart Alloys, which is responsible for the personal data collected through this site.

What we collect
When you use the contact form. We collect your name, email address, the make, model and year of your vehicle if you give them, and the message you write. We use this only to answer your enquiry and to pass you to a dealer if that is what you have asked for. We keep enquiries for up to two years so we can pick up the thread if you come back to us, then delete them.
When you simply browse. Our host records standard server information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit. This is used to keep the site running and secure. We also collect anonymous visitor statistics — how many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly which country they are in. We cannot identify you from these.
What we do not do. We do not sell wheels directly from this site, so we never ask for payment details. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file the site stores in your browser. We use two kinds.
- Necessary cookies, which the site needs to work. If you choose your vehicle, we remember it for 60 days so the wheels that fit stay in front of you as you move around the site. Your choice about this banner is remembered the same way. These do not need your permission and cannot be switched off.
- Analytics cookies, which tell us how the site is used so we can improve it. These only load if you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but it will forget your vehicle each time you visit.
Who else is involved
A few other companies handle information on our behalf:
- Automattic (WordPress.com) hosts the site, delivers our images and videos, provides the visitor statistics and checks contact form messages for spam.
- Google Analytics provides our site statistics, and only runs if you accept analytics cookies.
- alloywheel360.com serves the 360° wheel views embedded on our product pages.
- Our dealers. If you ask us to put you in touch with a dealer, we pass on your enquiry and contact details so they can help you.
Some of these companies are based outside the UK. Where that is the case, they are required to protect your information to UK standards.
Why we are allowed to hold it
When you send an enquiry, we handle it because you have asked us to, and because we have a legitimate interest in answering questions about our products. Analytics run on your consent, which you give through the cookie banner. Server logs are kept because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Email sales@autopartuk.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
